My spiritual journey started with a Tarot reading in January 2025, where the bruja babe told me I had magic I wasn't using. Something cracked open in me that day and I immediately started a mentorship with her. As part of this deep work, I revealed my lifelong habit of sensing and absorbing other people's energy, and she pointed me towards Reiki. I started working with a local Reiki master, got hooked, and by the end of 2025 had completed my Level 1 and Level 2 trainings and attunements.

Then came 2026 and the world felt like it was on fire. The prevalence of greed, hatred, and pain on a global scale was crushing. And after 13 years in tech, I was burnt out and unfulfilled. I was tired of doing everything I was "supposed to" without feeling like any of it had the impact I intended. The universe had been sending me signs for months and I finally gave in. I quit my job and started Awakey Reiki.
